Does it matter how a guy has your number saved in his phone?

So this happened a few days ago, we were hanging out at his place. He went outside for a bit and left his phone right next to me, I just looked and it was saved as 'those eyes', when he came back in he said he's going to call his guy friend and was on the phone for a good 20 minutes. A few hours later, again he leaves his phone next to me and 'those eyes' calls twice, this time he doesn't call her back. Does it matter how your boyfriend has you saved in his phone, I'm his girlfriend and he has me saved as Mal (my full name is Malama). Is the girl under the pet name 'those eyes' his main squeeze and I'm just the side piece? Should I be worried? Does it even matter that he won't even save my number using my full name?

Obviously, those people that use nick names on their phone do not wish to place a real name behind the number by fear that others discover the truth about the name behind the phone.

It is also obvious that you are just the back-up person and that the other is the current one he has something going on with.

I am in the lucky situation that no one besides my family knows my phone number as I don't give it out. Not to friends, not to acquaintances and certainly not to strangers and guys.

For you, it is time to have this serious conversation with that guy. However, it would be better just to sever this seemingly toxic relation and look elsewhere to find someone that does not play a double game.

One of the guys who was hitting on me saved me as "the meanie". As a redhead, many had me like ginger, carrot, or flame. My best friend has me as "fatty" (a long story behind that).

In general I don't care. The most important is they don't mistake me for someone else :D
