Am I missing something with my guy best friend?

I [20F] have a guy best friend [20m]. We met our first year of college & we're next door neighbors in our dorm building. As soon as we met we instantly clicked and hit it off like we had been friends our whole life. When I met him we were both in relationships which have since then ended. Now on to the real question. My friends and the people that know us constantly ask if something is going on between us and we always say no because it's the truth, there isn't. But they also say to me that I am being naive and stupid because I'm not realizing that my guy best friend clearly has feelings for me. Here's why: For the past few months he has been flirting a lot he's a flirt naturally so I never read into it. He makes comments about any guy I go out with saying why would I need them if I have him, he asks who I'm seeing, he tells me I'm his person. A big one for him is recently he told me I could use his car and hope he is out of town for the week because it's closer to our dorm than mine is. This was big as he doesn't trust anyone with anything regarding his car. He also told me how much he admires me and respects me for everything I do and my ambition and that he is "grateful that we are doing this life thing together" He also talks about me a lot. At a recent party, he called me over to talk to another guy that he was talking to. They were having a conversation that I wasn't included in but he kept bringing me up. For example he asked where the guy was from. they both answered and then he would say she's from... you get hat I mean. He always finds a way to talk about me and brag about how amazing I am (his words) no matter where we are. Personally I just chop this up to be his weird, flirty behavior also him being appreciative as his best friend but everyone that knows us tells me I'm being oblivious. It's not that I haven't had the thought of him having feelings but when I casually brought it up not long ago he denied it. So I'm not sure what to think. What are yo

Clearly has 'feelings' and just doesn't want to admit cause he's in too deep and doesn't want it to be weird between y'all if it doesn't work or he thinks you don't feel that way.. just go for it he could get a girl and you might regret someone who was in your life. He could also want to smash but he seem like he's in too deep for all of that. Just have a real 1-1 with him and ask while being a 100% deadass.
