Why do I feel sad when he doesn’t respond even if we’ve talked for hours?

We’re online crushes for 9 months. Sometimes we’ll talk a little and other times more. But even when we have chatted off and on most of the day, why does it hurt and make me sad when he opens my thing and finally stops replying? I start to feel stupid like I’ve been annoying him even though he’s been talking to me. Why do I feel so bad about it?

Yeahhh so for the people who are asking about the online aspect, yes I live an hour away but it’s complicated bc of living with my parents and them being in my business I can’t just go meet him. He’s said this was a turn off due to my age so if I’m being logical, he would like me but can only maintain an interest in conversation for so long at a time bc it’s like where is it going for real? I just don’t know why I get so sad about it

I don’t have a girlfriend but if I did. She would have to get really used to be hear from me for the majority of the day.

Of the 24 hours in a day I can only really text maybe 2-5 hours.
