I had love feeling towards my guy Friend and I've gifted him a watch but he never wear it, Why?

I knows him for a long time , we ussually communicate via Phone calls, Whatsapp and social media. Then one day we meet after a year , he came for my graduation. To let him know i love him i gifted him a watch and gave him with a note. I expresses how beautiful his companian were to Me and I've enjoy every moment i spend with him all. First he told i doesn't need to gift him something expensive all but aft he saw d note hia face were so emotional n he was Happy n said thanks n hugged Me. He told wil wear on my graduation day which is the next day but he never wear on tht day. When i asked Why he never wear he never give Me proper reason and end up he said will wear for a special occasion, but he said he loved the watch that I've gifted.

But later night his sister called Me n was talking to Me and he was in the Call as well and said I will wear it on a good occasion. And the next day his sis again video called Me and he was in the Call and he wear the watch and showed me in the video Call. This is so confusing.

Does he wear a different watch, or none at all? I don't wear a watch because I hate having anything on my wrists or hands.

You should not give expensive gifts to people unless you know them intimately and know that they would welcome it, most particularly personal gifts like jewelry and perfume.

He was wearing his Apple watch. I have gifted his perfume shirt etc before this but this time he didn't wear on that day but when he read the note he looks kind of crying but never show to Me.

I understand that he might not love you, but not wearing the watch was very rude from him, especially after reading the note and promising it to you.
