Hi, so I have a question about a guy who I think wants to get to know me more, but I'm not sure.. read the description please?

So every morning, I always hold open the doors to mu school and it's about 20 minutes each morning before everyone is inside and I head in the grab a bite to eat and head to class before the bell rings.
He is in my English class (the first one I have) and lately he's been being polite and telling me to go inside whenever he sees me holding the door, usually I say it's okay it's okay, I'll be in soon. But when he says it, I just go in because I know he won't give up haha.
In class I look around a lot and I catch him looking at me a lot, but then what if he thinks the same because we make eye contact often, but I'm just looking around, you know? Haha.
I also see him during the time I'm at the office everyday when I help out the office secretary, he's givin me these chocolate candies about twice now (which are really good white chocolate circle things) and I'm not sure if he wants to talk to me more?
Because honestly what he's doing has made me really interested in him, like he's not my typical type and I'm not attracted to him, but he's really caught my eye for some unknown reason.

It sounds like he's interested. I mean, it's one thing that he is a nice guy who is thoughtful enough to hold the door for you, but he also brings you little gifts. He doesn't give candies to everyone, right?

He's probably waiting for a signal that you like him back.

All you have to do is look up into his eyes and smile. Introduce yourself and shake his hand. Thank him and act happy to see him when he does things like hold the door for you or brings you candies. Smile brightly and say his name whenever you see him. "Hi ____ ." Look or chances to talk with him, like when walking from one class to another. If you have to same lunch period, sit by him.

It makes people feel special when they are recognized and appreciated. It's how friendships begin. And it seems like he is trying to reach out without being creepy. He sounds like a nice guy.

If he’s caught your eye, perhaps you are becoming attracted to him. He’s definitely attracted to you. If you want to see where it might lead give him plenty of opportunities to talk with you and if you want you can ask him if he would like to spend time with you outside of school.

From what you said, he totally acts interested. Try talking to him when ever you see him. Do you have any other classes with him? Try walking with him and striking up a conversation. If it's on the way to a class then it can be short but help break the ice!

I think you should. Not weird at all. Maybe suggest something casual to do like a coffee or grab lunch together outside of school. See what his reaction is and get to know him more one on one away from everyone else.

He's probably interested in you. I'd try to talk to him. If you're shy maybe give him some candy the next time he gives you some to break the ice. Think of some questions ahead of time to ask him in the event you get nervous. If you're brave, ask him if he'd like to hang out so the two of you can get to know each other better.
