Why did my crush make fun of me?

I have a crush on a shy guy in my class. He knows I like him but doesn't feel the same. Last night I participated in a local fashion show and my best friend filmed me on the catwalk and posted on social media saying she was proud of me.

Then my crush comments the video with ”hahahahaha”…. And I’m so confused. He is nice to me at school and all and we are still friends so why would he make fun of me and laughing at my performance?

or he's a jerk. I'm not sure, if it's the first option that would mean he's socially awkward and has no social awareness either.
