Why my ex spreads false gossip?

He broke up with me a week ago saying he doesn’t wanna date now and maybe we can try later (?) after that he says everyone in the school i cheated on him ( which is a lie) he says he learned this that day so its not the reason apperantly but all of friends around us call me cheater now on social media etc. why he is doing that? I didn’t do anything wrong i only had a guy friend which i talked a lot and apperantly he has a thing for me ( again people saying that not my friend) what should I do? I texted him many times explaining even saying you should have inform me if I wasn’t allowed to have a guy friend. He just completely ghosted me doesn’t even answer. Should I talk to him at the school or just ignore everyone and everything. How long people will act like that? I still talk to my guy friend cause its just talking on my side. I really liked my ex and imagined dating thorough high school but is he using this as an excuse to date others? Cause its understandable at this age boys wanna date many but he should have be man up and tell me. I have a kind heart and dont wanna people think otherwise. I hate highschool dating.

People can get jealous easily in relationships. I wasn't hit on very often, but if another woman even seemed interested in me my wife told me she would beat her up.
I guess the idea of you talking to another boy "A lot" who also has a thing for you was making your boyfriend jealous.

He never acted that way though. He started to getting distant for last 2 weeks never texting back holding hours only dry replies. He told me thats not the reason and dont think i wanna date again. I am kind of over him but it still hurts because he shouod have said sth. He says i just learned it but then he texts friends told me you guys were close i brushed it off. What makes him regret in the future? How should I behave like ignore him completely?

That same wife who told me she would beat up any woman who was interested in me ended up cheating on me, then lying to everyone saying I cheated and a million other things.
Some people are just toxic, and they treat you terribly after you break up. You should probably just move on and ignore him. In the future when you have a boyfriend you may want to keep a bit of healthy space from your guy friends though. You wouldn't want him texting another girl who likes him regularly, so it's just best to focus more on each other.

I don't know why people do it. I hate it. I broke up with my ex because of her behavior and she started spreading all kinds of lies and half-truths about me among her friends and mine, and even coworkers. It sucked.
