Why would he text me in the morning to see if I got home ok if he isn't interested in me?

I am 31.. he is 33. We met out one night and hooked up at his place. I am over the whole 'you hook up right away you better ditch them'. I'm at a phase in my life where who the f*ck cares as long as you are attracted to the person and their personality. Anyways; in the morning I asked him for his number. He texted me his number. Then When I got home he said this by text message:

Nick at 11:16AM: You make it back to Pleasanton?

Me at 12:00PM: I did! Nursing my hangover. Have fun at the golf range today!

Me at 4:00PM: I want to hang out again

Nick at 9:07PM: Thanks - yeah that would be great!

Haven't heard from him since... if he was so uninterested in me then why did he text me in the morning to see if I got home ok? Wouldn't he just want to never hear from me again?

He considered you getting home as part of the evening, and there his responsibility for you ended. AND He was probably worried about himself too, in case you never got home safely he would be considered the last person who saw you and therefore under suspicion,

Yeah, that is true; but it was 10AM in San Francisco and I got in an Uber. I would understand if it was at midnight, but it was morning. I totally like your opinion though. I thought about it too.

I read your question back again and I stick with most of what \i said but, maybe he is a guy who likes to keep his options open. By showing concern for you, he has you thinking about him enough to ask a question about him in here.. could he be keeping his options open? It does sound like it to me.

Maybe he also does not want to be framed for any accident should something happen to you between leaving and getting home...
