Why do guys have to lay on top of a girl when there are so many other more comfortable cuddle positions?

I've known three different guys now who felt the best way to cuddle is to lay on top of me. I'm small. They are taller and heavier. It isn't practical. Not exactly appropriate.

I'm pretty sure I can guess the answer to this one, but I need to hear guys explain their thought process to confirm. Do guys get a hormone boost from this, similar to kissing? Do they lay there thinking aaaalll dirty thoughts they wouldn't voice. The guy I'm currently seeing, he had to move every 10 seconds. I thought maybe he was trying to find the strongest scent of my perfume. Or is this a passive method to feel someone up without getting slapped?

I have but it isn't my go to because I think it is a level of intimacy that's different from simply hugging or sitting together watching a movie. Sometimes as a redirection I'd tell him "you're too heavy, time to swap." My last x was like 250lbs of muscle while I'm only 125. I told him no to ever because I classified it as a form of restraint. He didn't listen. So, he's my x now, lol!!! Luckily, the new guy I'm seeing is closer to my size and weight.

@Agagagagaga Let me put it in a different light. Let's say a woman twice your size and weight laid on top of you and you couldn't push her off, get up, or move. You are literally at her mercy to get off. If you are enjoying it, sure maybe it is cuddling. The instant you are no longer enjoying it, it is a form of restraint. My ex, I had to start hitting him to get him off of me because he wouldn't listen. Which, again, is why he is my ex. For girls, they become a lot more vulnerable in these sort of scenarios. Maybe guys would actually find it sexy to be held down by a girl, but girls may not find it the same when it is done to them. Especially since there is always the fear of being taken advantage of. A guy laying on top of a girl could be seen as showing a form of dominance. That was the case for my ex. The new guy I'm seeing, this isn't the case.

I would say cuddling implies consent to use each other's space. If not how are you going to cuddle. Obviously that doesn't mean you can't voice your preferences.

It would be the degree of getting into someone's personal space. When a guy I'm seeing is simply doing as what you described, I don't feel claustrophobic. I could get up and leave. But when a guy is on top of me, it is like a form of restraint and becomes a lot more personal.
