Is it normal for my boyfriend to stop talking to me?

This is embarrassing but my boyfriend of 3 years just stopped talking to me out of the blue. He’s expressed he is not sure how he feels about me, he said it’s been going on for a while but I’ll he didn’t make it obvious up until a few months ago. He also said that our relationship is pure and good that there’s nothing toxic and if they were to ask him why we split he’d feel bad. He says he knows he’ll regret letting me go and that any other guy wouldn’t second guess being with me but he says he wants to “stick it out “. He says he “cares” about me and “loves” me still. He only ever shows up when he wants to have sex. I miss him so much. he’s on a work trip and he hasn’t talked to me in 3 days since he’s been there at all. He would text or call me even a few weeks ago just to check in but now he doesn’t seem to care. I’ve been nothing but patient. Now I feel like we’re over and I don’t know how to move on. I’ve been crying for a whole month straight thinking we could make this work but he doesn’t seem to care at all. I try to talk to him but he doesn’t say much other than what I had mentioned. Not to mention he changed his Instagram password out of the blue yesterday. I just don’t know what to think anymore. Is it possible for a reconciliation?

I hate to say this, but it almost sounds like he might've found someone else that he's considering. It sounds like passionate lust distracting him from your stability.

A guy like that ain't worth it. I'm sorry, I know the history you both share is probably causing a "tearing away" in your emotions.

Sounds like he's not putting in the effort to find that "spark" again. Like trying new things, reminding himself why he got with you in the first place. As much as it hurts, not sure I would want to be with a guy who was so unsure about me. I'd want to be with a guy who was 100% into me and wanted to be with me. What if you get married and one day he just says, I was right I don't want you and wants a divorce?

It's over. I don't know why he had to go about it like that. But there's no reason to keep putting effort into this. It's just not worth it. The more you try and make it work, the worse you will feel when it's officially over. End it before it gets too hard to handle.
