Am I overreacting or is this weird-?

My grandpa (not biological grandpa) said something I thought was odd, He goes "you know if I was 60 years younger I could be your boyfriend" *laughing*. I don't understand if it's a joke and like what he's trying to say? That he's old? That I'm super young? Am I overreacting? I just don't get why he said that. (that's the 2nd time he has said it, said it last time I was here too)

Please don't listen to the people saying it's not weird or that you're overreacting. It is extremely weird, not only because you're underage but because he's your grandfather. Biological or not, he is way out of line and the next step is physical contact. I know firsthand, I was molested by my grandfather and he made comments like this all the time. Tell your parents, and if they tell you you're overreacting something is seriously wrong with them too.

Heed caution. Thats weird AF. Especially if its out of the blue. MAYBE if you were balling your eyes out because you thought you were unattractive and he was trying to cheer you up. But still, super creepy... Imagine being present and this happened to a friend, would you think it was creepy? Itd be way less creepy if he wasn't "grandpa".

most older people don't realize what they are saying in this time of life when he was younger is might have been said a lot before child molesters were in the news every day, I would not worry about his words but if he starts to touch you then all bets are off tell you parents

If it started and ended there, it’s not that weird. If he keeps it up, it’s kinda weird. If you tell him it’s weird and you’d rather he didn’t talk to you that way and he keeps it up, keep your distance cuz that’s beyond weird; full on creepy.
