Guy's Behavior

What does he want from my life?

so there is this guy my friends with benefits, recently he deleted my number , so I too deleted his number, but after some days he started calling again and want my attention. I do not understand his behaviour. Also he is busy on a very important project so we aren't talking and meeting much nowadays but it baffles me.

he also tells me to say I love you to him sometimes, which I deny obviously, i might like him as a friends with benefits but not more than that. I do not understand what does he wants?
