My boss humiliated my boyfriend, she used his hand twice as ashtray.

I said why dont you give her her damn ashtray, can't you see how humiliating this is?

He was like:its ok she did it since always.

I said:thats why she talks shit about you and humiliates you, because you let her

He got angry and said to leave him alone and didn't speak to me for the rest of the day and even didn't answer my messages

Why he gets angry at me and not at her? I just told him the truth.

I suspect your boyfriend is like I was or am… he’s sensitive and doesn’t like to hurt others. He d rather be hurt than hurt another … is ‘happy go lucky’ and doesn’t take it as offense and feels ‘in the right place when abused’


If that is true it is because of his personality and how he was treated as a child and how he responded as a child. Lacking power to fight back to abuses he feels right being abused.


You he fights with because his ‘truth’ is abuse and you are challenging his view.


We’re all programmed emotionally and challenging the programming is painful. That’s true whether the person is totally wrong in their perception of truth. You see this all over gag with political and racial and gender and science questions. Someone who is paranoid delusional will think they are being followed when they aren’t. Challenging their view is like torturing them. These are examples…


My girlfriend had to do lot work w me to see this and discover. You can help but have to be careful not to create emotional damage in relationship.


He doesn’t see how it lowers him in your view as a man. He will come out much better if you and he can get to the other side of this major issue that is who he is.
