Does he like me if he acted cold towards me thinking I rejected him?

There's guy I've seen often over a year or so bus driver. There's times I don't see him for a while. Always felt there was some kind of attraction from our energy making a lot of eye contact more than usual. I always say Hi or thanks acting more interactive and he says hi morning or hi looking happy to see me. His voice always softer with me. He doesn't say as much to anyone else. It was raining I was getting off the bus he was like careful bye while watching me walk down the stairs he doesn't usually say that I thought it was cause it was raining. The next time it wasn't raining said thank you more smiley instead of thanks after he still said bye bye careful. He was starting to say more to me. The other day getting off he didn't say anything to anyone only me he said you welcome smiling I had eye lashes done at the time he seemed to notice. It was some time before I saw him again about 3 months. There were two buses I glanced in and I didn't look properly , walked off to one in front after I looked back at the other bus I noticed it was him right before getting on the other bus. Started looking at him he was looking my direction , took out phone to look busy avoiding eye contact felt awkward. It looks bad I looked at hm walked off rejected him. The next time I saw him he didn't acknowledge me avoided looking me cold vibe. He's never acted that way to me. I realised maybe it was because of last time. I've made extra effort to show him I like him with my actions paying him more attention , giving him good eye contact smiling etc. The last couple of days had him to and from work he's changed back to his usual way with me. He did a seat check and he came stand close to while looking at the back. We're in that small talk stage saying a little more each time. How can I get to know him more I keep getting shy?

Yeah I didn't realise at first it was that reason didn't expect that. I guess thats a big sign that he likes me? if it effected him I think I fixed everything the last couple of days I made sure to pay him extra attention seems like he noticed he's normal now being nicer how we always was. Then he him trying to get closer to me while he was checking seats on bus stood beside me counting I was halfway not near the back. We're still in the small talk stage I'm trying to say more not sure how to move it forward?

Yeah I'm gonna try asking his name and where he's from to start. Saying more than small talk. Since he seems interested too break the ice more. Gotten more confident around him usually fine with most guys only him I act like this.

Yea maybe harder cause he's driving the bus , if people are around etc. I'll try to talk to him more. I'm sure he notices I get shy talking to him. I think he might like me from him acting cold when I mistakenly rejected he seemed to take that badly wasn't expecting that at all. It's fine now back on good terms i have to see when I see him next when there's a last stop.

Yeah I think we need to get past the small talk probably doesn't help I get shy although getting more confident around him saying more. Try ask where he's from maybe ask for his number or give him mine

Gave him my number finally only took me 2 months didn't see him last month.
I wished him to have a good new years he gave a little wink as I was saying it. Handed him the note and he was like what is this. Acted coy say you'll see he opening fast I got off the stairs already off the bus he shouted have nice day I said you too. He hasn't said anything yet. The note said lets get to know each other with my number and name. He didn’t reach out I think he’s shy tbh. Probably gonna casually joke how he never called or texted see how he reacts maybe ask for his if it’s good.
