So I had told my bro about how much he owes me. I said it in a joking manner. I didn't think it was a big deal. I understand it probably wasn't a good time to ask about money. Like my mom told me to tell him about it so I didn't think it was wrong. He asked for money (gave him $400) to move into his new house and he said he'll pay me back. He paid me some back, I'm in no rush about it. I'm just trying to save up so I can get my own place too and it was hard. So he stopped what we were watching and he went out to tell our mom how pissed off he was at me, he didn't tell me he was mad at me. I didn't think he was that mad he told her he doesn't want to borrow money from me anymore. So he hasn't talked to me in a few days, my mom told me not to say anything. She said he's not mad but it still seems that way still. I told him I was gonna come over but he said another time.

Though, be clearer on your side next time.
The fact that you bring a topic up means that's important to be brought up. Don't talk about debt if that's currently not an important to talk about.
Unless you want your money on a specific time. That's when you have to speak your demand. When, how, as such.
Don't "nudge" a guy towards discussing certain topic if you're not sure the guy can respond accordingly. Nudges, codes, indirect, implicit, passive-aggressive behavior, unclear meaning to him, those kind of behavior often annoy guys because of their lack of clarity.

I only said it because my mom said to tell him. Like I said I didn't think it was bad to say anything and he didn't know how much he owed me.
