How should I confess to my crush?

I plan on confessing to my crush. He's my best friend and I'm really not sure if he kinda knows I have a crush on him.

He told one of our mutual friends that he does not see me in a romantic way but that was about a year or so ago. We have spent a lot more time together since then and went through a lot together. There is a chance that he might still not like me back but I feel like I should just finally let him know.

What made me decide on confessing is he mentioned to one of our mutual friends that if someone likes him, she should just tell him because guys are pretty oblivious when it comes to these kinds of things. He's been joking around telling people I'm his other half and wherever one of us goes, the other one has to go.

I'm mentally preparing myself to be rejected because of what he said a year ago. But what is the best way to confess so that things won't be so awkward after that and we can still remain best friends?

Play fight with him and then surprise him and kiss him. If he kisses back, there you go. If he resists or pushes you off and reacts strangely, then just say it was something impulsive and didn't mean anything. That way, you can escape with your feelings intact if something goes wrong.

Well… just throwing it out there and may be a little straight forward. He may not be romantic type of guy. Invite him over to your house, while he is relaxing on the couch in the living room. Dress up in some lingerie in the other room and come out and jump on him, kiss him, and take him for a ride. I highly doubt you will be rejected. Or you could be old fashion and just try kissing him and hope he is attracted to the idea of a relationship. As the old saying goes though GO BIG OR GO HOME.

He isn’t hanging out with you because he doesn’t want to be with you. He is probably really shy. I was with my wife. She was the big initiator in our relationship. So chances are he won’t reject you. He may be a little shocked. But a kiss may not register right away. Walking out in lingerie will be the shocking point and when you crawl on him and start kissing him it will be the accepting part. Let him take it from there.
