Hi everyone I’m 21 and earlier this year I was on dating apps (not for hookups) but genuinely trying to get to know people and stuff. I come across someone and we matched (25 male) so then we started texting but it was very casual I wasn’t really flirting cause I just don’t flirt right away unless I feel something for the person. Anyways he asked for my Snapchat and I gave it to him and now we’re friends on there. After a couple convos I noticed there’s nothing in common and we aren’t looking for the same thing so I wasn’t really going to pursue anything and left it as is. He would still swipe up on my pictures with heart eyes, calling me cute, just complimenting me and I would say thank you cause I’m not rude you know? Anyways we don’t really talk like that but he asked me on a date a month ago and I had made an excuse cause like I said I don’t want to lead him onto anything and go on the date and act as if I’m interested if I’m not. Well now I’m talking to this new guy (23male) who I had on social media, I had a crush on this dude before like in high school and he texted me being flirty and him and I started having a new convos seems like a cool guy and would like to see where it goes. Out of curiosity I looked at his pictures and I saw one of him and the guy I matched with on the dating app🤦🏻‍♀️do a bit of looking into it and it seems that they’re close cousins. So now I’m like ugh cause even tho I did nothing with the guy I’m worried this new guy will feel some type of way about it. I don’t wanna say anything yet because this is like day three of us talking and I don’t want him to know I was looking at his pictures to see what I can find 😂🤦🏻‍♀️. Guys, if was talking to you and I matched with your close cousin on a dating app but we never did anything or even met in person, would you still give you and I a shot?

Yeah I don't see the problem. If anything the problem is really just that you didn't tell dude#1 that you definitely weren't interested. So he's still left guessing and maybe has a good idea but doesn't know for sure.

I mean i told him I wasn’t looking for anything but I’m not sure if he took it the right way I didn’t really bring it up to him just cause we would chat here and there like maybe once a week or once every two weeks just random convos and they weren’t even convos most of the time it was just him swiping up on my story
