I always hear hits telling girls “make the first move, show you like us!!” But as soon as you do they pull away or move on to another girl. It’s not even like a 1 type of guy thing either it’s every guy. I’ve personally had this happen with nerds, jocks, boys who don’t talk to a lot of women, boys who do, tall guys, short guys, conventionally attractive and un attractive. What the fuck?
I did this, dear. When I was 18-19 years I did this to a guy who flirted a lot with me. Even his friends thought we would end up together and I did the first move. He ghosted me! Some weeks later, one of his best friends told me he has got a girlfriend and he just had me as plan b. One thing I learned after this is never ever make the first move. Men don't feel like "men" if girls do that, trust me on this. People will be like, "you should take the first move" or "he likes you but he is afraid", but NO! Don't do that! When men are ready or don't want to lose you, they will make the first move. Be confident in yourself and focus on yourself. The right guy who likes you will come to you, girl!
Well. It sucks to be rejected. It means they aren’t into you. That or lost interest.
There is also a chance they panicked and didn’t know what they said. But at that point you already made your move and the balls in their court.
Just move on and ask someone else
Most men are so unaccustomed to women sincerely making a move (as in, she's not trying to get something from us or pull a prank or something) that it throws them off.

Because they’re probably not interested in you. Cut your losses and find someone else.
If he was showing interest and panicked. Then it’s his loss and if he likes you. He will come around.

Depends, maybe he's not into you, maybe you came across the wrong way when presenting yourself, maybe he doesn't have enough info yet, maybe you were too subtle, too hard to say without details.
It depends how you make your move. Add to that the fact that it's rare that women actually make a move, most men will think you're joking or something, that it's not genuinely making a move.
Don't get mad at all guys because you're choosing to make the first move with uninterested guys. Do you realize how many times a guy gets rejected before he gets a yes? 🤣🤣🤣
