I have been seeing this guy on and off for about 2 years now. We always get hung up on the 5 hour distance between us, but recently things have been going well. He came down to visit last week and as far as I could tell, everything was business as usual.
At the weekend, we were texting back and forth about our plans, when out of nowhere I receive 2 missed calls and a text message from his number saying "This is Adam's girlfriend, can you tell me what is going on between the two of you? He won't tell me a thing! Thanks"
I was in such a state of stock, I turned my phone off and didn't look at it until the following day. I had received a message from him saying that the whole thing was a joke, and he was testing me to see my reaction and I quote "Congrats, you passed". I read the message and ignored it. (it did also cross my mind this could be the girlfriend trying to get info)
The following day he messaged again saying "I guess that joke wasn't as funny as I imagined it would be, forgive me?". Again I never responded.
A few days have now passed without speaking to him, and I really don't know what to think. I keep going through the motions and thinking what if it was a joke that went wrong, but deep down I don't believe that.
I have no proof whatsoever other than this word, and it's driving me crazy.
Any advice on what to do? Block and delete? Have a conversation and ask him outright?
