Why would a guy fear being judged by a girl?

He is a friend of mine He is in a situationship with a girl.. my all friends know except me.. I came to know about this through one of my friend. I tried to ask him indirectly and he told me that i should not judge him. Is there a chance that he likes me and dosen't want to sound like a jerk

Any negative judgement can be a blow to one's self-esteem, and judgements about one's attractiveness or worth as a romantic partner tend to cut pretty harshly. Additionally, there's no real counter-opinion. Guys don't want to discuss their feelings about being rejected by girls with other guys. And if a guy has female friends, he won't really trust that they're not just trying to make him feel better by saying he's worthwhile.

I assume you're talking about judgements on attractiveness or masculinity. If you're talking about judging artwork or something, a guy's not going to fear being judged by a girl more than by anyone else.

There's a chance, sure. Given what I know about guys, there's *always* a chance he likes you, or at the very least doesn't want his relationship with this girl to affect his relationship (friend or whatever) with you.

I don't know, but the real question is, why would a girl judge a guy in the first place? Judging someone suggests the person feels superior over the other person to pass judgement.

If a girl were ever to judge me for something I did, or didn't do, I would think to myself, now there is one opinionated person. Maybe even avoid her.

Based on update: For sure, best to keep to clear of providing an opinion unless he asks for it, especially, if you've only heard one side of the story, if he is willing to offer/share his side of the story, and asks for an opinion, then you're in the clear to provide it.

Sure, there is a chance that he likes you, if he didn't like you or care what your opinion was of him, he wouldn't have asked you not to judge him. It wouldn't have mattered to him.

we fear a great deal of things when we try to engage in a conversation. You may slap us, call us a loser and tell us to f off. You may have your boyfriend beats us up for talking to you. You may lure us into a trap and have your friends make fun of us. You may just scream rape to get us away from you. If we go have casual sex you may accuse us of rape two days later. You could go home with us and wait until we are asleep and call you boyfriend and your friends to rob us. You could humiliate us in many many ways. You could steal our car, our bank account, pull a gun on us or just be plain bat*hit crazy.

Most normal, rational humans fear being judged by others. Often that hurt from being judged is worse coming from the opposite sex.

Same reasons why girls are afraid with guys. If you value someone's opinion, it hurts when they think badly of you. Also rejection hurts.
