What Guys Said
I'm the rarity that knows very little of cars and doesn't care about them.
But if I did. I would not lose my cool on cars. Because if I was working in something I'd make sure I knew what I was doing so it came out perfectly.
Sounds great in theory, until you start dealing with rusted bolts, parts that don’t fit right, mystery problems, etc
Everything is fine until you drop your 10mm socket in the engine bay, but don't heat it hit the floor.
@ShiftingMonke Or down the intake manifold. Did that once 😬
@Redstang88 oof. I had a girl working in the garage who we nicknamed Fumbles because she would constantly lose wing nuts down carbs.
That dreaded "tink tink" is somehow the loudest sound you'll ever hear. 😂😂
if a guy says no: he doesn't work on his own car.
I'am a mechanic and i would say im pretty calm compared to everyone else in my shop, but yes i do lose my cool at times. It's just annoying when certain things happen because a quick 30 minute job could turn into a 3 hours job. I work at a dealership and everything is "speed" and when things dont go right people get mad easy. I do try my best to keep calm.
I’ve thrown a few tools over the years 🤷♂️
No, I LOVE my car! But I have a very good one, so not many problems.
In my case it's a motorbike instead of a car.
I tend to speak softly to my bike to keep it in a good mood :)
Funny but no I don't. There is no point getting in getting upset at inanimate objects.
in the days when i used to work on them, it's been known to happen.
Nah. My dad would make comments like that when he worked on them, though.
If I do, I don’t resort to profanity.
I am more eloquent in my frustration.
