Girls, Ladies, do you prefer it when guys are obvious or subtle when showing interest in you?

As someone who's very good at reading people, I almost get a case of second-hand embarrassment when I see just how overt guys tend to be when they like a girl. My philosophy has always been to be as unassuming as possible. The way I see it, it's gotta be annoying having literally every guy hit on you. I ought to be able to stand out more by being the one guy who acts totally unfazed. It's meant to show that I have a life and am not desperate. Am I wrong about this or should I stick to my guns?

For me personally I prefer toned down obvious. Meaning, i like it to be obvious but we act like it isn't and he is not pushy and agressive, just constant effort.

Because i like to feel secure, safe and sure, i aldo dont like to play a game and waste my time, also i prefer honesty, like if you like someone you know so why pretend you dont? I dont like pushiness however as one needs time to get comfortable and really get to know someone as initial attraction may be great but the person may not have real qualities you look for
