Should you be punished for other people looking at you?

Why do narcissist get upset when other people look at you. When I was with a narcissist I had to look down while I was in public so other people wouldn’t look at me. Why do they get so upset if they notice that someone looks at you? Even if you don’t know that they are looking, you are still punished because a stranger looked at you. At the end of the night they can recall every person that looked at you and you can’t because you weren’t paying attention. Why does other people looking at you make them upset. I was told that when I’m traveling alone, I am supposed to keep track of how many people look at me and tell him about each one which is confusing, because how am I supposed to do that if I’m keeping my head down. I was told that I’m a whore for not caring about people looking at me or paying attention to count how many people are looking at me.

I will never submit to hiding myself just to appease a guy. If someone looks at me, that is their right. The rule is look, but armageddon if you even try to touch.

I can definitely say you were with a real bad control freak. It would only get worse. I suggest you avoid this type of guy. Make it clear from the start that you will never be controlled. If he doesn't like it, to close the door quietly when he leaves. For good!

I dont think so but if a girl keeps glancing at my boyfriend and he starts too constantly at the same girl he's gonna hear it when we leave. As he's just giving the girl validation.

No though could you have done anything to prevent without going way against your beliefs, styles, dressing down? Anything you are so used to of doing and may have taken years to develope those qualities to become attract suitable mate. You should not compromise with your beliefs, dreams, values. Unless they always put you in some dangerous situation or somehow they are wrong to the core.

Narcissist are super hurt people and so they hurt others. That's what hurt people do. They are hurting just like you and they never fixed the damage it did to them and continues to do to them.
