Does my new coworker like me? How to avoid mess at work?

Met a few new coworkers last week. On second day, I had instinct that one of them probably likes me. In a gathering, only he and I happened to be together and he locked eyes with me and I instantly looked down. Then he told me he is going to go sit with another coworker. After a minute, I joined them and sat next to him. He turned his head to look at me twice and no one was even talking that moment. I also noticed him looking at me many times after that. He showed care towards me and not other female coworkers. I could be wrong and he might be in general a nice person.
He asked questions that were about if I was thinking of going back to my home country or decided to settle here (I am immigrant by the way).

I had decided I will not think about him but after I’m back from my work trip, I am :-/ I’m feeling like a teenager writing this :-(

I will work with him remotely and meet every few months in person. From what I got to know about him, I like him. I also know that I want to avoid any office drama.

question 1- do guys act like how he did the first time of meeting a girl?

I just got to know him so too soon to catch feelings but yeah I do like him

It hasn’t gone to awkward stage yet so all good. Well he started the eye locking thingy so not my fault. Anyways, I’ll try to keep it professional as I don’t want drama at work. May be at some point, he and I will stop working together and then things might happen. Who knows?

For now, I’m just telling myself that it’s not right. Too many issues (we are on different coasts, he is younger to me and we will work together).
Pretty sure it will end sooner or later. But god has great humour - to have sent a nice guy like this! I’m looking up all mad lol :(

Been into this situation long story short :-

So me and this girl from my apartment she is younger than me have locked eyes many a times we are kinda looking at each other always from 3 years we both shy we haven't even said hi to each other now things have become awkward , if i ignore her then she becomes angry wid me and ignores me purposely then after some time it becomes normal

But now mostly I try to avoid her to get rid of an Awkwardness...

Next time say hi and smile. May be invite her to a tennis/badminton game happening in your apartment premises. I’m from India but living in states for a long time so I know what you feel. Things work differently here in states - guy/girl say hi and get things started. I miss the Indian innocence here times, one of the reason I like this guy more because he was always gentle and subtly innocent.

Nope Ma'am actually i don't want to have any Convo wid her coz i know nothing's gonna happen and i would say that i should respect her and mine boundaries.

You never know might she hates me lol... And ma'am i have always respected her and even wid her family members i am always respectful. I am like this i speak gently and give respect to everyone younger or older.

I don't hate her ma'am nor she does me of course but due to respect , awkwardness i should try my best to not to come in front of her.
