Can anyone help me understand?

So this guy texted me and asked me out for a date. We chatted and I agreed. Well the day of the date, he checks to make sure the dates on. He lets me know he what he was doin and he said he should be home around 7pm. Well 7pm comes around and he hasn’t even gave me an update or anything. Should I think the date isn’t going to happen? I mean if he’s interested wouldn’t he make time for me. Or am I over thinking and he could be busy?

A date is a date & communication is the key & being that he confirmed to make sure the date is still on anything is possible. It’s possible that his phone isn’t working or maybe something else happened & hopefully he didn’t stand you up.

No, it is possible something came up for him at the last minute. Of course that is not an excuse he should have updated you at least.
