He shouldn't be asking you for money and you shouldn't be asking him for money. If either of you feels like they want to give a gift out of their own free will, that's on them. There's nothing wrong with doing something nice for someone now and then. Sometimes people borrow money and pay it back, but that's never a good situation when it comes to relationships, friendships, or family. Loans should be all business. So if someone is asking you to buy things for them or give them money then they are using you.

Okay first of all nobody can tell you what to do it's your money it's your relationship but maybe what you had to think about is look at today yesterday the day before all the times that he has asked you to borrow money or ask you for anything has he ever paid you back has he ever done anything really good for you just to say thank you or does he just borrow it and then think nothing of it what you have to do is put each one of those days in perspective and think what your future is going to be there are guys in this world just like that I'm not saying that he's a bad guy I'm just saying that they will get with a girl and once you loan them money they will keep trying to borrow money never paying you back until the day you say no more and then they're gone they leave everybody's just trying to protect you that's all like I said it's your choice it's your money it's your life it's your boyfriend your world you can do whatever you want but just think a little bit ahead and protect yourself because he will keep balling money until it's all gone you have nothing and then he will be gone

depends which country but in westernized countries we men are expected to pay so if he does not that is a warning red flag. if he asked you for money i consider that manipulation. you probly wanna give him because you love him, [i saw that in a video once] but still that is misusing your affection. when he requests: my opinion is to reply saying "a firm no" and risk him leaving to "use" someone else.
