Why is Hispanic Female and White Male the most popular couple in the U. S?

I am a Filipina woman and always grew up under the assumption that Asian women were the most desired by White men. Though this may be somewhat true, why is the most popular pairing Hispanic women and White men? Do most white guys still prefer Latinas over Asians in the U. S?

It's not merely an assumption to say that Asian women are the most desired by White men, since Asian women are indeed the most desired by us. I'm in a relationship with an Asian woman and I know that my (white male) friends would love to date one as well. You can't imagine how happy I'm with her and everyone around me sees it! ❤

On the other hand, Latinas are also good and attractive women. It's hard not to like them. I dated Latinas before and have no complaints about them, so it doesn't surprise me that they're popular with my demographics (white men). Also, there are way more Latinas in the US than Asian girls, so it's expected that in numbers there are more WMLF relationships than the WMAF ones. Proportion wise it's different since white men are the most common pairing for Asian women if we take into account that almost 1 in 3 Asian women is in a relationship with a white man.

Ok. I have to break down the math a little. This is US data, Hispanics make up 19% of US population, while Asians only make up 6%. That's more than 3:1 ratio.

Look at your number, among interracial couples, Hispanic is 42% to Asian's 15%, which is less than 3:1. So Asian is actually the preferred race for white people. (looking at these number alone)

Then you look at the split between gender, Hispanic is fairly even, where as the Asians are disproportionally leaning white male Asian female. So, if we narrow the numbers down to females only, Hispanic to Asian female is about 2:1.

So the conclusion is for every fixed number of Hispanic and Asian women in the United States, about 60% more Asian women than Hispanic are married to white men.
