My girl friends told me if a guy is nervous/shy around girls it means he is attracted to them but also not a player so he feels more genuine.

Yeah, seems like 95% true and the other 5% would be anything I’m not seeing and any exception (s).
If he is nervous like…. Lifelong nervous lol then he’s too nervous to even put on the “jersey” or leave the bench.
He will root for the home team and stay “faithful”
either through love/affections, morals, or fear.. lol
Some guys who start nervous but gain confidence, turn into players, and some gain confidence, but remains forever appreciative towards the girl for them, and that helped them through that.
