My boyfriend wants to go to parties out of nowhere, what do I do?

My boyfriend and I are both in highschool but he is in the grade above. Before we started dating a few months ago he used to party a lot and go out all the time. When he met me he had stopped for a little while and told me he thought parties were gross and didn't like to go to them anymore. I agreed and him not liking partying is one of the many reasons I started liking him. On the occasion we ever wanted to go to one we agreed on going with eachother. I asked him if i could go to one on my own and he said no. A few weeks later he asked to go with his friends and I said no. Now, he told me he wants to start going more and there's nothing I can do to change his mind. Im extremely upset about this and dont know what to do or say to him.

I dont want to break up with him. I love him so much and he's so sweet. I just miss us staying in together.

You may not like this answer but I think the two of you just need to be young, enjoy life. Life gets a little more challenging once you get married, have kids, bills, etc, etc. I think it would be best for the two of you to just experience life. If things are meant to be later on down the road you’ll cross paths again. When I was in high school I was in a similar situation. Man thought that was it, that was life, I was going to marry her. But then she cheated, got pregnant w some idiot who dumped her not long after. I left for the military, had a blast. At the time yes I was mad at her but she did me a favor. Had that never happened I would have never seen or did what I did. No I’m not basing my answer on my experience, I just think you two should just explore your options first.

You can't change him; you can try, and you will waste your time and become frustrated with your failure. So you accept him just as he is, or you say goodbye. And if he is wanting to go to parties without you, then he probably wants a new girl and he is ready to break up with you.

It didn't happen out of nowhere lol He just went through a phase where he wasn't into partying.

If you don't like the partying, don't date him.
