What do I do if I guy I wanted to talk to thinks im obsesed with him and his friends think I love him?

i saw this guy that seemed like a guy from an anime i watched , me and my friend started calling him like that guy , he and his friends noticed , so i talked to him , he told me he wasn't ready for a relationship (that i didn't want) and now he thinks im obsessed with him because we meet echother often because we are in the same school , and i think that his friends make jokes about me and i know his shy and he probably hates me now. I dont know what to do , its so embarassing

If you want to give the proper message then separation would work if you don't want to tell them verbally, if it doesn't really matter much to you then let em jeep thinking it I guess lol
