I asked a guy out over instagram DMs & he hasn't replied for 2 days. Is it a 'no'?

We graduated and I didn't want to never see him again so I asked him out. Problem is, all my plans of how I was gonna work up to it fell through so I just DMed him after our graduation ball, asking if he'd want to go for a coffee sometime. It must have seemed really sudden to him. We talked a decent amount in class and a bit outside of class and had a laugh, but mostly talked about classes so no flirting really. So I was quite tipsy and really didn't want to never see him again so I texted asking if he would want to get a coffee sometime. No answer for 2 days, and the message isn't marked as seen but he probably just read it from the notification. He usually replies to the first message within an hour and the rest of the convo pretty instantly. I would normally just assume it's a 'no' and move on, but because it was so out of the blue, how likely is it that he's just a bit shocked and thinking it over? He may also be on holiday if that matters.

It could be that he hasn’t logged into instagram because he’s on a cleanse or something. Otherwise it would be a no. I’m sorry it takes a lot of courage to ask someone out so I applaud you for that. If he doesn’t want to go it could be for many reasons but at least you have your answer early on.

I really don't think he would do an Instagram cleanse, so unless he is on holiday and doesn't have internet yet (unlikely), it seems like it's a no. That sucks but at least I tried I guess🤷‍♀️
