So my friend (f18) has a crush on a guy (m20) who's training for army. They share their love for singing, Spotify, Instagram text daily til 1am, both want to join army, played chess, and he tells her sweet things like "where have you been all my life" and always takes selfie of different kinds to send it to her. But she's a little insecure about herself so she doesn't have the courage to ask him if he sees her as anything more. which is why, she's usually whining to me about it. how he's so sweet, her first love, called her cute, they got the same sense of humour and it terrifies her that she'll probably be in the best friend zone forever. or worse, hell block her.

what should she do? she's a hopeless romantic 🙂 and i can't see how this will work.

If he’s not single, how is he getting away with texting all hours, showing all this attention to another girl. Seems difficult to pull that off without getting caught. If he’s faking it, he’s next-level manipulative. Anyway, if she feels insecure maybe she should just tell him how she feels. Also, take things slowly so he has a chance to demonstrate consistency.
