Are these signs of jealousy from my male friend? Is he into me?

We have been friends for years but we regularly fall out because he starts behaving badly towards me out of the blue. Gradually our friendship deteriorated and now even the moments we are on good terms are not that great.

Back when we were like best friends, I started going out with a boy. It was at the very beginning and I hadn’t told friends yet. One day he saw me walking by hand in hand with this guy and he literally run past us, looking at the ground and without saying hi. That was the start of our first fall out, in the following months he started being very rude to me to the point one evening he started insulting a friend of mine and tried to make me fight with another friend by telling me she had been talking rubbish about me (which eventually wasn’t true). We didn’t talk for years after that but made up years later. There are moments where we get closer and spend more time together but they are always followed by moments in which he says mean things about my friends, he inquires weirdly about the friends I have that he doesn’t know, or excludes me from things he does with mutual friends. He often makes mean comments about me to make me feel insecure and talks a lot behind my back (but he does that with many of his friends). He never overtly hit on me except once “reporting” that a friend of him had said he found it weird that we had never slept together given the amount of time we spent together. On my side there is zero interest and he is 1000% in the friendzone.

Are these signs of jealousy from my male friend? Is he into me?
