My boyfriend oftens says he wishes things were different does that mean I don't make him happy at all?

He had a few very rough times with things and family dieing.

Through it all I'm there for him but some nights he snuggles and just says he wishes things were different.

It hurts so much cause oftent hose are the days I'm happy with him. Everything went well but he can't be happy it seems.

Sounds like he thinks his life is less than perfect. Not necessarily a reflection on anything you're doing and if he's cuddling up to you and opening up about it, maybe you're just what he needs.

Maybe he appreciates and loves me I just feel like I can't make him happy!
Like he is honest just wish he would not be so stuck in the past and see what he has!

Sure. Some of us cannot move on from the past without help and that possibly isn't for you to help with. If he's open to it, consider therapy.
