My boyfriend said that something he really loves about me is that I am "powerful", and that he needs a powerful woman to make him love her.
He said this in a context which doesn't make any sense to me. We were talking about how difficult and stressful his work was and how it was making it difficult for us to see each other as often as we'd like. We live far apart. And I said to him that I wish that I could make it better by being there to take care of him. I said I would make him food and give him hugs when he's stressed. And then I said jokingly that we should live together. And that's when he said what he said.
It would make sense to me if he said he loves that i'm caring in this context, but he said that he loves that i'm powerful?
The only thing I can think of is maybe that I lightly mentioned living together. That it might have been a bit of a brave thing to say.
Does any guy have a good guess as to what he might have interpreted as powerful in this situation?

Ahaha the thing is is that i'm certain it meant something to him. The way he said it was very sincere and meaningful. Like he was saying something important to me. He rarely expresses his feelings, and he's not very good at it. So I know it meant something but I can't figure out what.
Then I think he was saying that you need some paitence till we live together. For then just be calm
I don't know how that would translate into this. But had he felt I was rushing him he would directly say so. But I know he knows I am not, because we are both on the same page in the stage of our relationship. Telling me that I was powerful and that he loved that about me is the opposite of thinking I am trying to rush him.
Ma'am you might overthinhking it. Relax you can chat wid him anytime and then ask for the answers
