i don't know whats going on with my local pub , ever since this new manager took over a couple years ago its gone down hill. i'm not sure what the issue is exactly , a lot of the girls who work there are married or have boyfriends so that sort of puts me into an awkward spot being single. as obviously i want to meet someone but like not many singles really seem to pass through there.
but some of the girls there seem to lie or tell me half truths when i try and talk to them about stuff and not entirely sure why either. i realise that money is tight with inflation and rent costs a lot so they need the money they make there for stuff outside the pub. but like it feels so cold that they don't even care about me or my feelings and more worried i order another beer so they make a $ 1 tip. its like my feelings aren't even worth a $ 1 to them
i renewed my gym membership and planning to go there after work instead on most days now , might still go in the odd time but way less than the summer

Find a new bar to hang out in. I used to drink in a place that was a real neighborhood bar. The owner knew all the guys by their first name. On superbowl Sunday he used ot have a buffet with a carving station for all the regulars and their families. He sold it to somebody and retired. It was never the same after that.
i don't really know the owner , he seems like a dick though , i saw him drunk the other day and he drove home afterwords , apparently he owns a porche. he seems to have poor taste in female staff though , girls who look good but aren't really great people and more worried about smoking dope on there off time than anything else it seems , same with the kitchen staff , shocked there hasn't been an overdose in there yet
I go to there just to get drunk and go home... so I won't mind whether they lie or care.. just give me my drink and take the money 💀
depends on the bar , some i don't pay any attention to the staff and just talk to girls i find interesting , this pub the concept is different and a lot of interesting girls work there so i focused a lot on them but it seems to have back fired and they lost interest in me. a lot of times this summer they spent more time talking about there hair and boyfriend's then they did serving me , it was like i wasn't even there. i didn't feel bad at all this week when i ditched it to go to gym instead , why waste my time and money

i went there Friday night for a little bit but haven't been back yet and don't really plan on going in there much next week either but the gym wasn't really that busy either , seems like a lot of younger members left for school so its like half empty at the moment

neither options seem to be idea at the moment but i think the gym is the better of the two evils for the time being and has obvious health and fitness benefits. even if the people at the pub were like actually friends with me it still wouldn't be that great an option. the fact they don't even seem to like me makes the choice to go less seem like the right one

its like a summer hot spot so busier during the summer months , some of the girls i know only worked there during the summer. i'm not sure what the issue is really , the girls there like only care about there hair and there boyfriends it seems and making money. most won't even make attempt to talk to me or ask how my day is
Surely there is another pub in the area?
kind of a small market , is a couple other places but there not really that popular and some chain restaurants which have small bars in them and serve beer
pretty much stopped going in there after work , this week only went in 1 day and other 2 went to gym instead , might go in Friday night for a bit if its busy or anyone i know is there but planning to go out of town on Saturday
