What does he mean when he says I’m suppose to be in his life after an argument?

My guy friend told me after an argument that I am suppose to be in his life. He look me in the eyes and told me this. But we have been in this cycle of leaving, arguing , and friends again. Any advice why are relationship seems so chaotic. We say and have done some pretty messed up things to each other. But some reason we always find a way back to each other. And I do love him I just don’t know if it’s brotherly or romantic. I’m so confused.

It seems toxic and you’re not required to be around anyone you don’t want to be. The better question is, why are you even arguing in the first place? What was it about?

It just seems like a toxic friendship

Honestly it was about my feelings for him. I told him this. He told me that but still won’t date me because of his last relationship

So are you trying to force him to date you or is he just angry you expressed your feelings.

No he found out my feelings by reading my journal. And I confessed. And then he told me that and that he’s not ready

So. Why are you arguing? He shouldn’t be angry by how you feel and you shouldn’t try to force someone to date you
