Guy's Behavior

What's on his mind?

Okay so there's a guy whom I like since college time and he's really good looking. During college he was basically a bad guy and he mocked me sometimes casually but as time passed we eventually got to know each other and followed on social media. We even went on a date.
One day I told him how I feel about him and he said that he respect my feelings but he doesn't fall in love with anyone and neither he makes a girlfriend.
One day he told me that he likes me back but is scared of relationships as he tend to break up very often. ( now a twist in the story)
Few days later I saw him near my house and I genuinely asked him, he told me that he's visiting his girlfriend and nothing's serious between them, I was shocked.
Then I asked him few days later what does he think about me? He said that he doesn't fall in love with anyone but I am his friend and also told me that relationship is a waste of time, I should go for a guy who will love me, and it's better to make a friend like him as he is there for me rather being in love with someone else.
One month later I told him that I am dating someone, he got possessive and asked information and photo of the guy that I am with.
We contact each other almost every day, please tell me what's on his mind.
