Refused to unfollow a girl he says he doesn’t know?

I was in a call with him 3 months ago and I received a follow request from a girl I don’t know and one of the mutuals is my boyfriend, I asked if he know her and he said he does. He said she follows him and he doesn’t know her that’s why he isn’t following her, so 3 months later (the present) I checked his instagram and I he is following her now so I decided to bring it up again. He said he has been following her since and we argued cause I stood on the fact that he is lying and he said I’m mistaking, so I got tired and I said he has to unfollow her since he said he doesn’t know her. I gave him 24hours to unfollow yet he didn’t do anything, the next day I expressed my again and he called me insecure that I always check his instagram, I ended the call and sent a message to him asking for space and I unfollowed him everywhere. So we spoke the next day and he said he isn’t fazed by the whole situation and I told him ok and ended the call now I’m loosing feelings too fast, I deserve better.

I totally understand why you would be upset about this situation with your boyfriend. Even more so since he lied about knowing that other girl in the first place. That's super shady behavior on his part.

When you asked him to simple unfollow her as a way to reassure you and rebuild trust, he should have done that without question. But blowing you off and getting annoyed just shows he doesn't really care how his actions made you feel.

You were right to take some space when he wasn't respecting your boundaries. And don't feel bad about losing feelings - trust is so important in a relationship. If he's not willing to be honest with you, then it's not really worth staying in something that makes you feel insecure or disrespected.

You totally deserve a guy who will be loyal, open and considerate of your feelings. Don't settle for less just because! His behavior is a red flag, so trust your gut on this one. You go girl for standing up for yourself - hopefully he wises up, but if not then on to bigger and better things! ❤

This is a common problem for girls, every girl secretly or not so secretly thinks they're made of diamonds and gold and that a relationship revolves around them. Your boyfriend can't even decide who he is friends with without you toll gating how he is suppose to feel, and you're doing that to accommodate your own feelings. If you saw messages with another guy on instagram would you still trust that every guy on her instagram of just a friend? I get that I didn’t give detailed explanation on how everything led to this, so let me throw more highlights into this. The person in question does this to me, he would tell me to unfollow who ever he isn’t comfortable with it and read my chats and I’m returning the favor and I’m the jealous person? He likes to have things done his way and when i follow it becomes an issue
