Serious question that I wanted to ask and I would like some advice on. Why would this guy just stop coming to a place that im known to be at?

I feel like he still likes me but at times he avoids making it obvious. It's an on/off liking meaning there are times that he would make it obvious that he is staring at me then other times he avoids looking at me. One time when he was not looking I was checking him out and his dad caught me and told him. Wouldn't that tell you that I like you back? I see him eying me multiple times and I look back at him too. Isn't that enough to say it's okay to approach me? The last time I saw him was on my birthday in May and he hasn't come back around. I'm just afraid to approach him in a crowded place where everyone is watching me. I'm starting to really miss seeing him around every week. Before you guys say but how do you even know he likes you. He started sitting either near me or in areas where it's easier to face my area. If you want to know more just let me know in the comments. Thanks in advance. Pls help me figure this out. This is driving me crazy.

I guess so but his behavior is so confusing to me. He can easily talk to other girls but not to me. He doesn't seem like the shy type.
