Cut communication/ghosting?

Why would a guy cut all communication w a situationship ex (he was friends w before) but not a relationship ex?
Why would a guy go to such lengths w a situationship he was friends w 1st, but keep another ex around?
I say situationship ex bc yes it ways that’s still an ex, although not as technically correct as a relationship ex.
The situationship was 6 mths long, he called me his girlfriend and ILYs were exchanged. That being said, I knew it wasn’t a relationship. Actions and words never matched.
Why would a guy say ILY before he started avoiding and ultimately ghosted a girl? Obviously I know it’s bc he didn’t love me, I wanna know why he’d do that?

Why are you comparing his treatment of you to another ex? That's just dumb. Jut because you were friends before means nothing. I try telling girls on this forum to avoid friends with benefits and 'situationships' because they won't like the results. And 9/10 I'm right.

When I say friends I mean it goes back all the way to jr high (we are 40). I’ve had a thing for him for 25 years and he knew going in my feelings for him. I wasn’t really aware that’s what it was til the end. Yes, I was absolutely stupid for thinking it was more than that…I readily admit that.

I’m not necessarily comparing the treatment, specifically. I’m just wondering why me and not others, bc as I’m aware I’m the only one he has done this to.
why only one out of many, in general would someone do that? I have no clue why so even a guess would help.

Well, I don't know how you could possibly know the details of how he treated EVERY EX, but that's not really important.
Was the breakup bad? Were there things said in anger? Was there a fight before the BREAKUP? (like a week earlier maybe?) Did you freak out on him when he dumped you?

No bc I’m the one he cut communication w. I was just wondering bc I know for a fact there are actual ex gf’s he was still in contact w but me he vanished on. We’ve been apart for months, this just occurred to me last night
