Why is he behaving like this?

I have this male friend who I see at work and we usually communicate via facebook, but the past few days, he's been avoiding me and cut off all communications, for reasons unknown to me! I tried to corner him at work to get some answers but unfortunately I was unsuccessful. Yesterday I sent him a message which went unanswered! Our relationship is one similar of a cat and dog, light bickering, teasing etc.

I'm not sure what went wrong since he's been mum about it. I'm this close of sending him a message again, trying to get at the bottom of the situation. What should I do? Should I message him again? Try to talk to him at work?

I wanna know why out of the blue he started ghosting me!

Not from what I know! But even so, I've known him when he had a girlfriend and he was always friendly. He always greeted me everytime he saw me
