There is a guy who I met through common friend and lives in another country. We met once but he said he was not interested in a relationship. So I tried to maintain a professional/friendly relation with him since we are studying the same major. Everytime I text him he seems excited but starts ghosting after a while. Then there is no contact for 2-3 months, I text him for study related help he was again keen (and wanted to do a video call!) but has again stopped replying to my messages now. It's been a month, I tried reaching out and asked if everything was okay and why he did not talk but no reply. I'm obviously super angry at this bullshit.
I sent him a last goodbye message saying I was deleting his number because I did not want to force a connection. I really want to convey my standards and boundaries and that I deserve to be treated better.
Did I do the right thing?
