Cultured can be a part but not needed to be a gentleman. To me a gentleman is what my grandfather was. He made it a priority to make everyone around him feel comfortable and welcome, so they belonged.
I would watch him at family gatherings talk to a new person or guest for 20 mins. Genuinely welcoming them to the event and wanting to connect with them. He used manners, was generous, and used humor so everyone laughed and enjoyed their time.
Now the cultured part you asked about may be about how he told a story or dressed

Being cultured and a gentleman are distinct and separate, although they have a high proportion of overlap. Being cultured is about curiosity, education, experience, interests, and travel. Being a gentleman is about consideration, kindness, and manners, especially towards girls.
