Letting go off my fiance?

Me and my fiance got in a fight the first of this month. He asked me to leave his house. He says a lot of harmful comments to me when he is angry. This time I wanted to teach him a lesson, so I actually left. We then exchanged text messages. He is very insulting and looks for ways to demean and bring me down. So this time I decided to do the same and went low with him as well. I guess he is offended by the things I said to him because he said just because he insults me doesn’t mean I should insult him as well. I have tried to see if we can walk through things. He said he can never forgive me or love me. So many things were said. I was even agreeing to whatever he said so there would be peace but he kept shouting and milking me trying to make things work. He hasn’t even reached out to me or try fighting for our relationship. I called today, he didn’t answer me. Does this mean he is truly done. Should I just let go? I Reached out to his family, they say they don’t wanna involve themselves.

Just how much lower are you willing to go until you realize that he will not apologize for his insults and toxic behavior?

It is clear that he has an anger management issue. This should be resolved before you even attempt to get back together with him. Don't forget that the current situation will be the very same if you ever decide to get married to him.

Yes, you should just let go of him because he will not show that he is weak by apologizing and agreeing that he could be wrong.

You owe it to yourself to start anew with someone that does respect you and not just takes you for granted.

This is a perfect example of why you don't want to let arguments spin out of control. Sounds like there were underlying problems in your relationship to begin with.

Neither of you wil trust the other after this, so you might as well end things now.

What about try therapy and intentionally communicating properly?

Dear it's over. I don't know what problems you may have, other than a severely busted man picker. He however, sounds like a childish asshole with anger problems. Run do not walk, consider yourself lucky you aren't married to him.

What if we intentionally try to work on our communication skills? Go for therapy?

You could work work on communication skills but it has to become an embedded habit before you marry. Counseling is not helpful in my experience.
