he just lurks. He could easily follow me I don't mind? We are acquaintances irl. His account is private and I don't see why I would follow hik by myself or why he'd come back every day without following me that seems so unnecessary? What's his entire possible point?

Hmm that is kinda weird that he watches your stories every day but doesn't follow you. A few possibilities:

- He thinks you're cute and likes to peek at what you're up to without you knowing he's watching. Some guys do that cause they're shy to follow a girl they like directly.

- He's not super active on social media so he doesn't follow many people, but still wants to see your updates. But then why not just follow if he's lurking daily anyway?

- Maybe he has a girlfriend so he doesn't want other girls seeing that he's following you. But that's still kinda sus to lurk so much.

- He could think you're kinda boring and just looks occasionally when he's bored, but not interesting enough to follow. But then why watch stories daily?

- He wants you to notice his views so you'll be curious about why he's watching and follow him back. Playing games kinda.

Honestly sounds like he's into you if he's committing to the stalk every day! I'd call him out next time you see him and be like "hey I see you in my views, gonna follow me back or what?" See what he says, might get some answers!
