He watches every single one of my instagram stories, and stares at me all the time but never talks to me. Does he like me or not?

I have a huge crush on this guy and i get a vibe that he is into me too. I always catch him staring at me and we had prolonged eye contact like twice. This was a good sign to me and once we followed each other on social media i saw that he constantly viewed every story i posted as well as my recent posts. We have never talked, but we have a similar friend group and laugh and talk as a group. I did catch him watching me laugh a few times so you can see that this is a positive sign i assume. However, when i started to message him on social media he responds in a one word response or a short sentence. And one time we bumped into each other and i looked at him and he kind of just avoided me like as if i wasn't even there. I was feeling really good about this until all this started happening. He still watches my instagram stories all the time and stares but there is just no contact at all. Is he just super shy, or playing with me? He did tell me once he was shy and awkward, but isn't ignoring my messages a bit much? I'm getting mixed signals here.. please help me out! P. s i know it's long but thanks for reading it :)

Yes it sounds like this guy definitely likes you. For sure. Now as an old guy, you'll have to bare with me. So he watches your instagram stories all the time. Is he aware that you CAN SEE that he does that? Like is that something everybody knows--that if you watch someone's story the person who posted it knows who watched it?

If he knows, that you know, that he's watching all your stories... isn't that kina flirting in itself?

Either way, he's either telling you he likes you becaue he is aware that you KNOW he watches all of your stories.

Or he likes you, watches all your stories... and would be super emberassed that you're aware of it. But still, nobody on earth would do that if they didn't like the girl. No way. You're good on that for sure.

And it does sound like he's very likely (like for sure) just really shy. He even told you so.

The lack of eye-contact is certainly shyness.

And did he actually ignore any of your messages? Or was it one-word responses you meant when you said that?

I mean, it's hard to say why he would Ignore your messages (just view it) unless the message seemed to not want a reply. The othe two though... I mean... you do know that a lot of guys suck at texting... it could be that.

You kinda have to go with your gut instinct in terms of "do you feel he's treating you with disinterest and coldness, or is it just a guy who doesn't text well." BUT still then why would be stalking you on social media. To me, the fact that he does that makes me still lead heavily towards, yes It sounds like he probably likes you, and is not good at texting. :)

Chances are he probably is into you but he's probably shy or is not had a lot of experience talking to women the best bet would be to approach him I noticed a key is that sounds and you shouldn't have to but in this case I think that that you're golden ticket approach him in a non-aggressive way and just ask him if he would like to go do something coffee or beer lunch dinner whatever works for you and I promise you that you're going to get him to open up eventually

Well that's gonna be your relationship with him if he doesn't step up to the plate. If that's your cup of tea, be the dominant one that encourages him. Ultimately trust your instincts. If it feels sensual or if it feels creepy, then it's likely true. And if its not factually true, it's emotionally true for you.

He's definitely fascinated by you. Of you are feeling bold you could admit to feelings and check his response. It could be possible that he is very into you... and simultaneously completely socially awkward. If you do meet him, please do so in a public place, and have an escape plan if things go South.
