Why is he still watching my instagram story?

I split up with this guy I was dating for like 6 months. It was a sad but amicable break-up, he needed time on his own (which he had never really been). We decided on no contact, though I did sent him a birthday text, and he replied kindly.

The thing is, it's been over a year since the breakup, but he still watches every single one of my Instagram stories, whether I post one or thirty a day, without fail. Why would a guy do this?

It's quite normal to do this I think. If the guy doesn't hate you or didn't want to cut you out completely, then I don't see any harm in looking at your story.

I still look at my ex's story's as well, even though it has been years and years apart, but it still shows up. Mostly on instagram you're just going through the new stories and before you know you're watching to story of your ex.

He might even just click through it when it opens, there is just no way of knowing. But I wouldn't look into it to much.

I think it's also because you guys had an amiccable break up. If you both would hate each other and indeed never want to see each other ever again I would think it would be normal not to look at each others story or just to block each other.

Thats true! That was kind of what I was thinking, but I don't know if he'll ever want to be in contact again haha. But its good to know he doesn't hate me haha!

Well I guess if he ever would want to be in contact, he'll reach out to you! And if you want to be in contact, you can always hit him up with a message. But be clear to yourself about your intentions first then :D If you want to rekindle things it's a possibility to just check the water. It's also possible to just be friends, but with both options you still need to be prepared for a negative answer

Well I can only speak from my experience, but if I had zero interest in a person (romantically or friendly), I stop following them, or at least dont watch their stories...

Thats fair enough but its a known thing many people keep conplete random or people they only met once on there social media and in turn just watch there stuff
