We'd been talking for a month and suddenly he blocked me, why?

This message was a few days before.
He literally told me he wanted to be my comfort zone the morning before he blocked me.
I have no idea how to take this, no information, no explanation, not even a fight. Literally nothing that could have prepared me for this.
We always told the other to be honest, clear and encouraged the other to speak their mind, no matter how difficult.
Now I haven't heard from him in three weeks and it hurts my heart.
Will I ever even learn?
Will he keep me blocked forever?

Hmmm either went back to a girl he liked. Found someone he preferred more or just didn't TRULY like you and came to terms and didn't have the heart to tell you. Either way he found blocking you the easier way rather than telling you

I did entertain the thought of him seeing someone else or having lost interest.

He called me a few hours earlier but I couldn't pick up at the time.
He would videocall later that night.

A few hours after I messaged him to say I'd sleep for a while until he'd call, he blocked me.
The final thing he said was "You get some good rest in the meantime, baby!"

It literally baffles me to even acknowledge that I have in fact been blocked.

Yeah sometimes people can say shit that sounds sincere and like the person cares about you but to them it's just words

He probably found someone else or got back with someone. If things go wrong with that girl, he’ll probably be back. But trust me, don’t let him back in if he does. He’ll just do the cycle again. I’ve unfortunately been a victim of this stupid game.

He probably got back with his girl/found someone new that’s more interesting/ or his girlfriend found out about the texting between you too.
Some people think ghosting other people is easier than confrontation.
They might be afraid that they will hurt you But actually ghosting is hurting more than telling the truth.
I’ve done both. I know it’s not cool.
The only thing for sure is he doesn’t care about you that much.
