How do you tell if a coworker likes you?

we have talked about small talk and we exchanged numbers for work reason. But I just get excited when he talks to me. I don't know if he’ll ever text me or talk about anything where we could actually get closer beyond work and small talk.

he seems controlling and I love crazy controlling men lol. He seems normal but my spidey senses pick up something beneath the surface at times like he’s very controlling I don't know. Obviously at work you can’t get to know someone’s real self though.

You can usually tell by their actions. For example, if he hangs around you a lot when he has no valid work-related reason for doing so.

If he talks to you, try to keep him talking. Ask him things about himself. If he asks you questions don't just answer with a yes or no. Tell him about yourself so he can keep the conversation going.
